Tenants Begin Rent Strike at Sherry Apartments
At Sherry Apartments on 5300 South Shore Drive tenants withheld about a quarter of May rent to protest deteriorating care and maintenance. Spokesperson Mike Ber trand said more tenants may join in June and funds are being placed in an escrow account. A five page list of complaints was handed to building manager Thomas Horan.
