Community Peace Efforts Expand in Hyde Park-Kenwood
Follow-up work from the Town Meeting for Peace and Peace Day activities aims to turn Hyde Park-Kenwood toward peace. Tuesday demonstrations at 7:00 a.m. on the Lake Shore Drive overpass, merchant committees seeking constructive antiwar action, and a task force boycotting Honeywell and ITT affiliates. A Peace Ballot challenges Congress to halt war funding with over 1000 votes cast, plus medical aid to Indo-China and a summer Peace Picnic. Contact local organizers for details.
