Mikva Named Leading Freshman Legislator

Hyde Park Shopping Center Projects A and B Start Next Spring

Webb & Knapp conducts studies in Hyde Park for a new shopping center to be built if approved by the Chicago Land Clearance Commission. A market study will size the center, and local merchants are invited to discuss leasing at the firm’s 210 S. Michigan office. Lease terms will mirror other Chicago areas. Ten police officers honored at South East Chicago Commission

Ten police officers were honored at the South East Chicago Commission annual meeting in Mandel Hall. Police Commissioner Timothy O’Connor praised their meritorious service in stopping a one man crime wave that culminated in the murder of Mrs. Jennie Johnson on April 2. The captured suspect was George Sims, a 29 year old janitor at the University of Chicago. The ceremony included a group photo with officers from Hyde Park and Woodlawn districts and city officials.

Mercury Vapor Lights to Light North of 55th Street
