Co-defendant in 1968 convention arrests seeks sanctuary here
Ross Flanagan, a co defendant in a 1968 Democratic convention protest, has taken refuge in Quaker House at 5615 Woodlawn this week. He refuses to surrender or pay a $500 fine as court proceedings faltered with only eight of 27 defendants appearing. He vows not to settle for the court's terms, calling the action victimization and asserting constitutional rights.
