University of Chicago launches 32 million fundraising drive

The University of Chicago announced a three year campaign to raise 32.7 million dollars for teaching, neighborhood improvements, student housing and financial aid over ten years. Chancellor Kimpton and Edward Ryerson led the drive with a 4 million dollar pledge, detailing allocations for teaching, housing, and new undergraduate residence halls. A Saarinen designed women’s dorm and Dudley Field site plans were revealed.
