STEP school expands as fundraiser targets Akiba building
STEP plans a $150000 fundraising drive to buy the Akiba Day School building at 67th and South Shore Drive from Hyde Park STEP. Denis Daly of Hyde Park Bank and Trust will chair the campaign while a committee including Aldermen Cousins Despres and Kenner and State Rep. Epton backs the effort to serve over 30 troubled youths and add a teacher training program.
