Children's Symphony Holds Open Rehearsal Tuesday
The Children's Symphony Orchestra directed by Charles R. Buckley invites all area children who play an instrument and read music to attend an open rehearsal Tuesday March 13 at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Church. The 36 member group, formed by Hyde Park parents, aims to recruit and inform teachers and prospective members about its workshop style and activities with scholarships available for cello viola oboe bassoon and french horn. Buckley also heads the Indiana University Civic Orchestra and Washington High School instrumental program.

Kenwood School Produces Its First Variety Show
Kenwood School plans its first all student variety show called Kenwood Kapers on Saturday March 3 at 2 p.m. in St Pauls church auditorium at 50th and Dorchester. Admission is 10 cents. About 100 students participate, organized by the student council and PTA Human Relations committee with help from several PTA mothers and community leaders.
