A three story brick building in Hyde Park suffered a gas explosion fire injuring ten as tenants were evacuated. The De Hyde Park Kenwood Community Conference had previously reported code violations and urged demolition and inspector teams. Damage was estimated at 35000 dollars as the blaze spread from the ground floor to the top, with three alarms and firefighters injured.
