City Building Survey Reveals 674 Hazardous Violations
The city building department counted 674 hazardous violations in the Hyde Park Kenwood area amid a two month survey of more than 3,000 buildings. The report will underlie the Conservation board redevelopment plan with about 14 million dollars in federal funding sought.

Prof Walter Johnson of the University of Chicago is named chairman of the Committee to Elect Ali Mikva. Mikva seeks the Democratic nomination for state representative from the 23rd District in the April 10 primary. Johnson heads the History Department and writes on 20th century American history.
