A Chicago boy Roy Markey was bitten by a small black spaniel on a Saturday night. The dog was later deemed possibly rabid and sent to the Pasteur Institute for examination. Roy and his family await test results while police investigate the incident.
John Kittleson, formerly of Tama county Iowa, died last Saturday after a brief illness tied to his war service. Funeral services were held at 2 30 in the afternoon with F W Long officiating, burial at River Cemetery. He was thirty years old, moved to Dakota as a child, and served in Troop RB Grigsbys Riders. He leaves Mrs Bessie Doane and two children, and a newborn infant lost shortly after his death.
