Harrison Meeting Sees Butler County Vote Support

A large Butler county assembly at Hamilton on August 13 adopted a preamble and resolutions opposing Martin Van Buren and endorsing William Henry Harrison and Francis Granger. The meeting denounced Van Buren for suffrage limits, Western interests, and alleged foreign influence, pledging active support for Harrison, Granger, Johnson, and Corwin.
