Meperta the Fourth Anns Fair at Milan October
The Milan fair of the Muren and Erie Counties Agricultural Society drew 8 000 to 10 000 spectators on October 8 and 9. Gen Lockwood and local citizens funded and hosted displays of stock, plowing, and domestic manufactures with extensive halls, tented exhibits, and speeches by Rev L L Allen and J R Osborn. Committees reported premiums for cattle, sheep, dairy, poultry, grain, farm implements, and domestic arts, noting strong participation and some reporting gaps.
