The Sovrxsen arrived on Sunday at New York from London with evening papers of August 15. We are indebted to our correspondents of the Standard the Mercantile Advertiser and the Courier and Enquirer for copious and interesting extracts.
From the London Courier dated August 14 we learn negotiations on the Belgian Question are progressing toward a Peace Treaty. Correspondents in The Hague Amsterdam and Brussels express confidence. Dutch funds show a rising trend with Two and a Half per Cents recovering from lows to reach 1 dollar. The King of Holland has given consent to the terms.
