Ohio Whig Convention Nomination and Resolutions 1816

A Whig convention in Ohio nominates Thomas Corwin for governor and Isaac Tyler for vice president, adopts a platform urging limited presidential power, strict constitutional rights, and reform of public offices. State Central Committee Appointments and Convention Close

Rec orved that the following gentlemen be appointed a State Central Committee for the ensuing campaign to wit Alfred Kelley Joseph Hidgway sen John W Andrews Robert Neil John L Miner Francis Stewart Lewis Heyl Dr Miller and Lyne Starling Jr The President offered a resolution thanking Columbus citizens for hospitality and the convention adjourned without day.
