A Counsellor C. quarrels with a Justice and the Constable in a frontier dispute near Lapeer. The Counsellor pins the judge and constable, is declared victorious, and the court signs judgment on the log floor before parting.

The Whig Congressional Convention for the 21st District assembled at Birmingham Erie County on Friday the 25th at 12 M. W F Hevekwoods presided, Ouas Long named chair and J Kennan secretary. Adams Erie was elected president with Lose Lorain and Morsz Huron as vice presidents.
