General Harrison's Remains in Question
A letter to Washington via the New York Signal notes Gen. Harrison will remain where he lies for now while his widow and North Bend kin decide. Benjamin Harrison urges burial at Berkeley, Virginia, but Ohio relatives and district residents favor returning him to North Bend. A potential monument could be erected at the burial site. The Ohio stake and the Berkeley option clash with the North Bend plan.
