Boats and Bridges on a Canal Run
A first person narrator describes a canal journey with low bridges forcing passengers to lie flat as boats pass. A Dutchman loses his breeches and pipe, mates mock and laugh, and chaos ensues with sleeping births and a capsize-like bed collapse. A later tale mentions Rev Mr Peabody praying for rain with a flourish about tigers raining.
