New York Express tale of Jonathan Blick New Year's calls
In a vivid York City vignette, Jonathan Blick recalls New Year greetings with doughnuts cider and nut treats. He details his playful scheme with cousin Beebe, then travels by carriage to a grand party, noting fashion, social rituals and the bustling street scene as women vanish from the day.
