The Thaw in Winter’s Tale From Huron Reflector

Translated for The Orean from the Genvan a lengthy prose piece detailing a thaw after a severe winter. Father Bernhard and his son Herman witness rivers breaking, ice collapsing, and floods reshaping the landscape as spring approaches. The narrative blends nature’s force with reflections on mortality, memory, and renewal, closing with pious musings on parting, remembrance, and the eternal spring.
