Walks doom Saints in 15-1 season opener loss

Mormon Trail opened the baseball season with a 15-1 non-conference defeat to Lineville-Clio. Eleven walks and two hit batters doomed Saint pitchers as Lineville-Clio scored ten runs in the first inning, while Mormon Trail managed only three hits and stranded runners. Coach Joe Neville lamented lack of pitching control and said the team will gain experience as they begin Blue Grass Conference play.
