Chariton Defeats Humeston In Close Friday Game

Chariton topped Humeston 22 to something in a lively Friday night contest. The crowd praised the effort of Chariton players who had only practiced a few evenings. A return game is slated for Friday December 27 at Chariton.

Corydon Poultry Show Shines at First Annual Exhibition

The Corydon Poultry Breeders' Association held its first annual show in Corydon last week. Hundreds of birds were exhibited and judged by Walter Perkins of Ames. Geo. McCart announces a closing out sale on December 20 at his Humeston Lewisburg area farm featuring eighteen cattle ten hogs hay corn and farm implements on a 120 acre tract.
