Mrs. Alice Hanson 85 of Humboldt died early Thursday at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services pending at Lindhart Funeral Home. Survived by sons Bob Phil Ed Roger Ken and daughter Muriel Streeter. a brother Shirley Soppeland. and several great grandchildren. Born March 12 1898 near Badger to Lou and Mrs Soppeland. Married Amos Hanson December 30 1920. Farmed south of Humboldt then retired to an acreage in Humboldt. Husband died in 1973. Resident of Humboldt Care Center South since January 5.

County board notes litter pickup and office upgrades
The board thanked Doug Marso and youths for a county road litter pickup April 30 near the landfill. They approved a recorder office telephone system and Irene Blair’s attendance at a May 11 Department of Social Services meeting in Fort Dodge. Next meeting is May 9 at 8 a.m. at the courthouse.
