Marie Stoakes 75 of Humboldt died Wednesday at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are set for Friday at 11 a.m. Lindhart Funeral Home with Dr. Ralph Kitterman officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery. She is survived by a sister Mrs Walter Hamilton of Mountain Home Ark a niece and two nephews. Born July 19 1907 in Humboldt she spent life there caring for a handicapped brother and taught Sunday School at United Methodist Church. She had lived at Humboldt Care Center North for six years.

Mildred Martin 76 of San Francisco and formerly Renwick died March 10 in San Francisco. A memorial service will be held March 20 at Calvary Presbyterian Church in San Francisco. She was born March 5 1907 to Dr. George and Blance French Martin east of Renwick and was survived by her brother Dr Frank Martin and nieces and nephews. Her grandfather Charles Martin was a Wright County pioneer. She studied in Renwick and Eagle Grove and earned a home economics degree at Iowa State University Ames. She taught school briefly before moving to California where she worked as a legal secretary for many years.

Mrs Alfred Jacobson Rites Held In Fort Dodge
Funeral services for Myrtle Jacobson 88 of Fort Dodge were held Friday at St Olaf Lutheran Church with Rev Dr Palmer B Wold presiding. She died Wednesday at Trinity Regional Hospital. Survived by husband Alfred two grandchildren eight great grandchildren and daughter in law Donna Swanson. She was born Myrtle Huxtable in Roberts Newfoundland and moved to Duncombe i n 1920. The couple farmed near Duncombe for 47 years then moved to Fort Dodge in 1968 celebrating their golden anniversary in 1971. She belonged to a St Olaf Lutheran Women s Circle.
