County largely back in service after storm
Most residents were back to normal by Thursday after a Monday night and Tuesday storm brought rain and snow. Isolated farms lacked power briefly while lines and poles were repaired, with warnings to stay clear of downed lines. Dakota City faced five hours of outages, Humboldt saw minimal impact beyond a downtown outage from a falling limb, and limited rural lines remained affected into Tuesday. Ice and wind caused most damage, branches weighed by ice, with only one minor accident reported as roads stayed slick.
