Humboldt Wildcats face year of rebuilding on gridiron
The 1980 Humboldt Wildcats, 4-4 overall and 4-3 in conference, lose 20 of 22 two platoon starters to graduation. Coach Dan McClanahan heads into his third season with a young lineup, only two returning lettermen, and a battle for QB among Newell Dresser and Kennedy. The schedule includes St. Eds, Webster City, Algona, and Clear Lake as key early tests.
