Webster Webster landfill voting plan outlined for Humboldt County
Humboldt County could join the Webster Landfill Commission with a voting share tied to population, giving Fort Dodge 50.6 percent while Humboldt gains long term savings. A 75 cent yard gate charge was noted as lower than other landfills, and a 30 percent surcharge was proposed for temporary use if Humboldt declines full membership. A motion for a 30 day trial after closure passed with most votes, while a July plan to close the Humboldt site was superseded.
