Boone man charged after two car crash on Highway 169
Reuben Ephraim Peterson, 81, of Boone was charged with failure to yield after attempting to cross Highway 169 and being struck by a northbound four car driven by Steven Blain Fox, 26, of Minburn near the Benton Truck Stop entrance. No injuries were reported. Humbald Police investigated.

Portland Woman Recovers From Knee Surgery After Train Fall
Mrs. Priscilla Tuttle of Portland, Oregon, recently returned home from hospitalization for knee surgery after a fall on an Amtrak coach. She fractured her knee en route to Humboldt to visit her sister and attend a class reunion. An emergency X-ray at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital led doctors to advise returning to Portland for care, where she underwent surgery at a Portland hospital. Her home is 9695 S E Boise, Portland.
