Edge Brothers land disposal plan tabled by Humboldt County
The Humboldt County Landfill Commission tabled Edge Brothers Inc proposal to lease 21 acres for 65 000 annually for a three year term as the county already purchased the Grove Township site from Earl Clabaugh. The Edge site would need a DEQ special use permit and costs to meet standards would fall to the commission. The Clabaugh property has DEQ permit potential and promises greater usable depth, while Edge’s life is 5 to 7 years. The panel noted expense risk and need for a firm showing DEQ approval before proceeding.
