The Caramercial Club formed last Thursday with about forty signers after electing B C Weir as president and G W Lensink as vice president. Names include Gillie Gallaher Baldy Seaman Lick Elonghouse Jimmie Lake Jack Edwards Wink Beeson Heel Howell with uncertain spellings and places.
A 1912 letter from Nampa Idaho discusses updating address from Caldwell to Nampa R F D 8 Box 113a, moving to a farm with 80 acres, and plan to try farming for a year. It notes mud and poor roads, light snowfall, ongoing furniture moves, and appreciation for the weekly INDEX on Mondays. The writer wishes good health and warm weather in Idaho.
Walter Popma from Cherokee town visited Hull Lemseritl Pulsce on Monday evening and left Tuesday afternoon returning via the mer. He praises his town’s people for their kind reception. Joe Patna and wife traveled from Lyon County farm to Weir home for a brief visit, returning Sunday.
William B Rombough died at his home in northeast Hull on Sunday night March 17 1412 at about 6 10 PM aged sixty years nine days after a long illness. He leaves a widow one son one brother and four sisters. Funeral held at the opera house Wednesday at two with Rev S L Chandler officiating. Burial at Hope Cemetery with IOOF rites. Surviving family express heartfelt sympathy. Rombough born March 5 1532 in Center New York, lived in Napanee Ontario then Iowa, married Mary E B Mailcombe April ith 1872 in Missouri. one son Harry M born. moved to Hull Sioux County 1879. worked as a mason for twenty years.
