Red Cross parenting courses offered in Mahoning area
The Mahoning Chapter of the American Red Cross announces an eight session free Parenting course for parents and eligible participants. Led by Joan Fahey the course emphasizes protective nurturing and child development with health safety and nutrition basics. A certificate is issued upon completion with a $2 book fee. First session starts October 22 at 10 am at the Red Cross Chapterhouse 266 West Wood Street. Reservations at 744 0161 weekdays.

Mallons celebrate 35th anniversary with family party
Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Mallon of Niles marked their 35th wedding anniversary with a party hosted by their children. The couple wed September 28 1946 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Niles with attendants Marie Cordy Accordino and Joseph Cervone. They have six children Theresa Simkins Carmen Mallon Carmel Banninger Anthony Mallon Frances Rock and Elizabeth Mallon. More than 50 guests attended a buffet at Frances Rock’s home on Sunday September 27, a reunion they had not had in a decade.
