City and township ratify ambulance contract for 1984

Two Ali brothers face charges after Hubbard fire altercation
Omar M. Ali and Abdul M. Ali, residents of Hubbard Township, are charged in Girard Municipal Court with arson related counts, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and criminal damaging after an altercation that erupted during a fire at their home. Police say they hindered firefighters and attempted to re enter the burning building. Fire officials have not yet set the cause or damage figure.

Hubbard Chamber approves 84 budget for six thousand seventy two
The Hubbard Chamber of Commerce board approved expenditures for 1984 85 totaling 6072 with much of the budget earmarked for the community calendar. The meeting also adopted the new Reserve Small Business Network covering Columbiana Mahoning and Trumbull counties to foster local business. Local delegates Rick Jugenheimer and Bill Laurie were named to the network.
