School cutbacks reduce layoffs in 1983 84 district
Board of Education officials reduced layoffs to two English teachers and one vocal music teacher for the 1983 84 school year due to prior large cutbacks. Superintendent James D E ramo noted a possible renewal of one English position if funding allows. The board issued 21 one year teaching contracts and 12 continuing contracts while several substitute and auxiliary staff faced non renewal.
