Hubbard officials report HUD in Washington has accepted the workable program for the city. Mayor Joseph Baldine says Chicago HUD officials indicated written verification is on the way. The plan aims to secure federal funds for urban renewal, low income housing, and facilities including an eight unit high use apartment house for seniors and recreational spaces. The plan, submitted last fall, includes ten resident committees to advise on federally funded local projects.
