Reed Middle School Science Fair Showcases Sixty Five Projects
Sixty five projects were displayed at Reed Middle School Science Fair. Winners spanned multiple categories with Pam Lewis first in Environmental Science and Noelle Janovick first in Life Science. Second and third place awards went to a wide set of students including Donnie Morrow, Greg Jones, Robbie Joki, Jesse Lanz, Tony Manhattan, and others with honorable mentions and participation certificates awarded across the board.

Family tree tracing tips from genealogy workshop
Certified genealogist Carol Wiley Bell shared strategies at the Hubbard Public Library workshop. She urged starting with an ancestor chart and using blank spaces to locate missing details, then consulting old baby books, scrapbooks, and greeting cards for clues. Bell noted census records from 1790 onward, except the 1890 census lost to fire, and explained pre 1880 listings show heads of households with limited relations. She advised checking pre and post 1890 records for lineage and immigration details.

North Main paving slated after years of effort

Hubbard reports Reed Middle School PTA members voted March 9 to become an independent organization and rename to Reed Teachers and Parents Organization for the 93 school year. The tally was 55 in favor and five opposed.

Hubbard blood drive shatters goal with 131 pints
