Hubbard pharmacist builds Elkhound dynasty and kennels
Hubbard pharmacist Herb Coplin develops a celebrated line of Norwegian Elkhounds starting with Stormy in 1970. From Stormy he created the Stormevager kennel at 2946 Schotten Rd, earning status as a leading breeder from New York to California. Coplin trains his dogs, appears on Outdoor Journal twice yearly, and has produced top winners including Hex and Druid along the way.

Tylee Lane Renamed to Honor Hubbard Settlers in Hubbard Township
The Hubbard name change renamed Cemetery Lane to Tylee Lane to honor original settlers Samuel and Anna Tylee. Nehemiah Hubbard Jr. bought 15,274 acres in 1800 for 20000 dollars. Tylee measured plots and sold land to early settlers, traveling west with Anna Sanford Tylee.

Hubbard-A maintenance committee formed by Board of Education
The Board of Education on February 24 named Hubbard-A the preventive maintenance committee to safeguard two mills of the proposed 11 mill levy for maintenance. Members are Roy Minina Tim Turose Gary Ghizzoni Dutch Keenan and Phillip Bolchalk at the time labeled. Deer Lick spring drew drinkers to the area where early settler Tylee built a frame house on West Road later West Liberty Street. Tylee known as Squire Tylee helped develop Hubbard by building a grist mill and carding machine, modeling the hamlet and its families including the Tylees Roberts Bussey Clark and Gardner. Anna Tylee bore 10 children and died February 10 1818.

The district also aims to launch a school breakfast program funded by federal money with 50 cent full price and 30 cent reduced meals. District Eyes Deep Cuts To 1992 93 School Year
