City Seeks Industrial Rates For New Substation Power
Hubbard officials met with Ohio Edison representatives to discuss May power purchases and potential savings. If the city obtains industrial rates, May power costs could drop from 17 502 to 15 461 and possibly to 13 125 under the desired rate structure. The city argues power through the new substation will use the same lines as industries and seeks rate parity with industrial users. The contract runs through 1966 with a reopening clause and involves 20 communities exploring rate changes for municipally owned systems. Mayor, city officials, and department heads attended the Youngstown meeting.

Stratton Burned in Accident in Buffalo New York
Michael M. Stratton of Brookfield suffered severe burns after a fall in a Buffalo motel shower when a hot water faucet was turned on. He was treated at Columbus Hospital in Buffalo and is expected to return home soon. Stratton, a director of Shenango Valley United Fund and Brookfield community volunteer, was accompanied by his wife and family.
