Hubbard Annexation Or Idle Talk In City Township Rift

City officials and township trustees remain divided over a possible disassociation. The City Council authorized Law Director Richard Scullin to draft legislation to separate from the township citing more than 11000 in city taxes paid to the township general fund for residents to vote and hold township offices. Trustee Ray Kulow and others argue it is a political move and would harm the community while calling for continued cooperation. A township statement opposed disassociation, with further notes on the ongoing debate.
