Pancake Day Benefit for Hubbard Foreign Students
The American Field Service Hubbard chapter hosts a pancake day on Sunday February 16 in the school cafeteria from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets cost 1.25 for adults and 0.73 for children 12 and under, with Amish sausage also served. Cochairmen Rudy Bender and Miles Rodgers oversee dining and publicity, while Ben Rinaldi of Rio de Janeiro. living with the Robert Gray family, is this year’s visiting student. Proceeds support inter country goodwill programs and AFS activities.

Hubbard residents must file Hubbard city tax returns by April 15. Final forms for 1968 and declarations for 1964 have been mailed. Tax is one half of one percent for wages where city tax is not deducted. Delinquent accounts will be turned over to the collector for enforcement.

A Jan 14 letter reports Hubbard High School Band under director Williams Moody was “highly recommended” to play at President Nixon’s inauguration. Ohio State University Band was chosen as Ohio could send only one band after a careful selection by Trumbull County Republican leaders led by E. G. Ted Johnson.
