Hubbard School Lunches Run On Food and Time
Hubbard schools feed 2 400 students with careful prep. Christmas dinner used 260 pounds ham 15 pounds brown sugar 12 cans sweet potatoes 3 cases lettuce 1 basket tomatoes 1 basket peppers. Food stored in each stockroom and ordered twice weekly from Central Warehouse. Type A lunches qualify for government reimbursement. December 1976 lunch cost about 80 cents per meal. Food Service is self supporting.

Accidental Deaths Reported In North Side Crash
Berkinyi 50 and Rotz 22 were struck on Lewis-Seifert Road near Route 304. Berkinyi died at North Side Hospital after a 9:14 a.m. January 11 crash. Rotz suffered a broken foot. No citations issued. investigation noted. Funeral arrangements listed on page 36. Hubbard adult education registrations open at Board of Education offices through January 24. Courses include dancing tennis arts and crafts and more at ten dollars for eight weeks.

Area couple aids in new Airport film in Florida
McDonald residents Terry and Carol Zimmerman helped on the set of Airport 77 in Wakulla Springs Florida. They provided air and gear for scuba divers and stood by as safety divers for about a month. Terry befriended Jack Lemmon who joined them off set and the group shared meals and outings. Lemmon did his own stunt diving despite no prior experience.
