Reds Release Belgian Jet Passengers After Intercept

Woman Hurt In Auto Crash On Rt. 304
A Girard woman suffered a brain concussion when her car rear ended another on Route 304 east of Hubbard last Saturday. Sophia Nord 37 listed in satisfactory condition at North Side Hospital. George Hreen 44 of Hubbard was stopped for a turn. Nord cited for failing to stop within assured clear distance. Hreen and passenger Peter Halco treated for knee and facial cuts.

Hubbard Man Dies in Head On Crash Near Hubbard
John Popa Jr. 41 of Hubbard died from chest and abdominal injuries after a head on collision with a tractor trailer on Rt. 62 near Hubbard. The crash at 12:57 p.m. involved Mickey Albanese of Struthers driving the truck. Popa, a Keystone Bakeries supervisor and father of two, died 90 minutes after being taken to North Side Hospital. Autopsy ruled death from a punctured lung and multiple injuries, not a heart attack.
