The city will allocate Federal Revenue Sharing Funds to cover its share of all operating expenses for the Senior Citizens Van. City Council approved the plan to fund upkeep and related costs using federal money designated for revenue sharing.
The Hubbard Democrats announce a March 5 dinner dance at Brentford House 737 Myron Street Hubbard with 6:30 cocktail hour 7 p.m. dinner 9 to 12 dancing Tom Lopresta Combo. Tickets 20 a couple include drinks and dinner. Information contacts listed.
Columbus Ohio the Hubbard News won second place for news coverage and third for general excellence in the 43rd Osman C Hooper Newspaper Show for Ohio weekly papers under 3 000 circulation. Other Niles Publishing titles also won honors including Girard News third for news coverage and Poland Clarion third for make-up.
The Board of Township Trustees agrees to create an annexation advisory commission including the Trustees Clerk Zoning Board members and the Road Supt to study the citys proposed 550 acre annexation. They will seek public feedback decide on legal counsel and action, while facing concerns about finances and constitutional issues. A 99 mill fire protection levy renewal was announced for the June 8 primary election.

In Hubbard the Social Security office will be in the city building's council chambers on February 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to answer questions about Social Security. The office will reopen next month.
Hubbard YWCA announces a group bus trip to the Cleveland Home and Garden Show leaving the YWCA lobby at 8 a.m. on Wednesday March 10. The $8 cost covers transport and show admission, with a Dutch Treat dinner on the return. Reservations and mailings to 25 W Rayen Ave.
