World Day of Prayer at Grace Lutheran Church Hubbard
World Day of Prayer sponsored by Church Women United will be held Friday March 5 at Grace Lutheran Church Hubbard beginning at 1 p.m. The event unites millions across six continents in a 24 hour prayer service with the theme The People of God Gathered for Worship Scattered for Service. The service text was prepared by women of Ireland and Northern Ireland. In Hubbard participants include Call to Worship led by Mrs Evelyn Rodecker and music by Mary Beth Chappa and Marcie Meiers with instruments as well as drama Brigid of Kildare. A free lunch is served at noon in Fellowship Hall. a nursery will be provided. Pastor Phyllis Rawlins referenced.

Girls softball sign up set for February 27
Hubbard Community Youth League announces registration for girls softball on Saturday February 27 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the city building. 9–12-year-olds join the pigtail league and 13–16-year-olds the ponytail league. Parents must bring birth certificates, and last year participants must re register. The $16 fee is due at registration and raffle tickets are provided to raise funds.
