Trustees settle lawsuit involving ex police chief
Hubbard Township officials announced a out of court settlement over civil rights allegations against former Police Chief John Karlovic. The township will pay 10000 to Alan Frost II and attorney E Winthrop McCroom, with the insurer also paying 10000 and Karlovic paying 5000. The case was settled with prejudice. Police activity in January included 170 complaints, 30 accidents, 11 thefts, eight DUI arrests, and a nabbed kidnapping suspect.
