State budget cuts may force big school program reductions

Superintendent James D Eramo warned that a proposed 531 million statewide cut could reduce 1982 funding by about 420000 for the local district. Programs such as gifted, string and pool would face cuts along with teachers custodians and bus transportation. The curriculum will be reviewed and by April decisions made. Township police chief helps deliver baby girl

Hubbard Township police Chief John Karlovic assisted in delivering a baby girl at 82 Stoneybrook Drive in the Stoneybrook Trailer Park after an ambulance was called. The newborn Trina Marie weighed 7 pounds 7.5 ounces and was born as mother Vickie Romo and husband Allan romo waited. both mother and child were in excellent condition and set for hospital release after a typical stay. The Romos have two other children, Kenny, 11, and Kari, 3½, at home.
