White House post election meeting between Bush and Dukakis
President elect George Bush and Gov. Michael Dukakis met privately at the White House for about 40 minutes in a cordial session. They discussed Harbor cleanup, crime and deficit concerns, and pledged cooperation without political rancor, with remarks about health care and education reform. Bush wished Dukakis a merry Christmas and a happy Chanukah for Kitty.

Born September 18 1901 in Farrell she moved to Brookfield two years ago and was a Shenango Valley Business College graduate. She married Dr Wade J Najem in 1933 who died in 1972 and leaves daughter Alice Yarabinec son Dr Raymond W of Canfield and six grandchildren. A sister and two brothers survive. Funeral services were held December 10 at Kelley and Son Funeral Home and St Patrick Church.
