Hubbard elementary pupils from St Patrick and Roosevelt raised 2359 dollars and read 4146 books for the MS READ-a-thon organized by the Tru Mah Col chapter of the National MS Society. Mystery Sleuths earned prizes while sponsors donated per book to fund research and patient services.
Hubbard High published honor roll lists with students achieving 4.0 to 5.0 averages across grades. Seniors include Marianne Petar and Joe Trausch among others. juniors, sophomores, and freshmen also named with many listed by name and grade level.
Hubbard volunteers promote fire safety by selling Sunbeam Centurion detectors built in Chicago for 25 dollars each. Each unit includes battery and instructions and proceeds go to the Firemen's Insurance and Equipment Fund. Orders accepted by phone from noon to 9 PM or 5 to 9 PM with delivery available.
