Registration for Chestnut Ridge students Russell and Emily Barninger is set for August 27 to 29 at Chestnut Ridge School with bus service cutbacks to save funds and designated pick up centers.

Dominic Leone 67 of 340 Wheeler Street died of a heart attack at 9 40 a m Friday in Sharon General Hospital. He traveled to Sharon to pick up a passport for a planned trip to Italy. Born August 19 1894 in L Angelo Cuppio Benvento Italy he lived in Hubbard 49 years and worked for Powell Steel Co. He was a St Patrick Church member and left siblings in Italy. Funeral 9 am Monday at St Patrick Church with burial in St Patrick's Cemetery. Kelley and Son Funeral Home managed arrangements.

The Mahoning National Bank of Youngstown will open its 11th area branch in Hubbard at Hubbard Square Plaza on Friday August 24. John Paul Klinke will manage the Hubbard office. An open house will feature Hubbard High School girls as hostesses and a drive in teller window will be available with hours 9 to 3 Monday through Thursday and 9 to 3 and 5:30 to 8 Friday.

Private Wendell Eugene Penn 19-year-old Marine died of head injuries after an Aug 16 auto crash near Charleston South Carolina. He joined the Marines in 1960 and was stationed at Parris Island and Camp Lejeune. He is survived by his parents three brothers and a grandfather. Hubbard Homecoming Nets Over One Thousand Dollars
The Hubbard Homecoming Association reports over 1000 dollars in proceeds from the 1962 event. Final figures will be released after the September meeting when the association completes its financial report. All proceeds go to the Hubbard Community Center fund, with 2000 dollars already earmarked. The festivities ran July 18 to 21, highlighted by a parade drawing about 13,000 people and 70 units. Miss Delores Burrows was named queen. Association officers and directors include Charles Ferrick president, Bud Wills, Paul Rowland, Jim Hagan, Laird Abernathy, Harvey Hatch directors, Robert Bentley vice president, Homer Beer secretary, Tom Landy publicity secretary, and Strachan treasurer.

Police Check Out Two Collisions on North Main Street
Hubbard police investigated two minor crashes on North Main Street. Edward Stanton, 68, of 224 Fifth Avenue Hubbard, struck a parked car at North Main and Walnut, causing about 300 dollars in damage to the vehicle owned by Kozmos Korones of Cleveland. The incident happened Monday night. Last Saturday, Hugh McBride, 21, of 41 Fox Street, swerved to avoid another auto and hit a light standard at North Main and Myron. police estimated damage at 200 dollars.
