Howland discus star Ekonomon finishes sixth in state

Howland high school athlete Adam Ekonomon placed sixth in the Ohio state AAA discus finals in Columbus after winning district and regional events. He set a school record of 167-11 in regional competition and earned points for his team during the season while balancing academics as National Honor Society member and marching band president.

Trum bull County Federation of Women's Clubs Spring Meet

Warren May 25 the Trumbull County Federation of Women's Clubs held its annual spring meeting at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Morning program featured Evelyn Mott vocals and a world showcase by Porter Garlock and Britton. Afternoon included madrigal music by Western Reserve Singers and a talk by Mrs Pat Vivo. Miss Sarah Thompson presided.
