One With the Earth Indian Art Exhibit in Warren
A major exhibition of contemporary American Indian art from the Institute of American Indian Arts will open at Gillmer House in Warren, Ohio on April 17 and run through Memorial Day. The show features traditional and modern works and includes a lecture series, dancers, and a children's education program funded by a $2350 Martha Holden Jennings Foundation grant.

How Jewell Boosts Education Roles and Local Impact
Jewell, a seventh grade science teacher at Howland Junior High, champions public education while criticizing tuition tax credits. He has led and served in HCTA roles, led levy campaigns, and contributed to district, state, and national conventions. He holds degrees from Roberts Wesleyan College Westminster College and studied at Pitt. He created the German curriculum at Howland and developed a seventh grade science course used since 1974. He and wife Margaret have two children, Karen and Ben.
