Howland Chemical People Task Force met February 13 at Howland Junior High with 75 attendees. Teachers and nurses reported on a Mahoning County weeklong workshop on community intervention and discussed teen rap groups, enabling, intervention, and referrals to local programs. A teen panel proposed needs including weekly discussions, guest talks, summer jobs, help announcements, and intramural sports. The next meeting March 12 will show the film Epidemic and a Project Outreach counselor will speak.
